Management Plans
Community-Based Fish and Wildlife Workplan (2016-2021)
The Community-Based Fish and Wildlife Workplan for the Champagne Aishihik Territory was established by the Government of Yukon (YG), Champagne & Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) and the Alsek Renewable Resource Council (ARRC).
The 2016-2021 plan establishes the main priorities for fish and wildlife management within the CAFN Territory. This currently include moose, thin horn sheep, freshwater fish and trapping. In addition, several monitoring and stewardship activities are outlined in the plan.
Management Plans
Integrated Landscape Plan (2006)
The Integrated Landscape Plan has been written as a
landscape level technical planning and operating tool, focusing on defining areas and stating priorities within the Champagne and Aishihik Traditional Territory for forest planning.
The plan also provides statements of priorities and general strategies for the defined zones, and guidelines for the development and implementation of Timber Harvest Project planning and the associated forestry operations.
The primary audiences for the Integrated Landscape Plan are: 1) those responsible for developing and
implementing Timber Harvest Projects, and 2) those responsible for carrying out on-the-ground forestry operations and related activities.
Management Plans
Strategic Forest Management Plan (2004)
The first community-directed strategic forest management plan in southwest Yukon was approved in November 2004 for the Champagne and Aishihik Traditional Territory (CATT) to tackle the massive spruce bark beetle infestation and high wildfire risks.
